In a human mind many questions arises about "What is good ? What is Bad ? What is justice and injustice ? What leads to fruitful results and what all leads to miseries extra extra. But such questions arises only when we observe a thing from a limited framework. According to the law of Karma "As you sow, so shall you reap", however it is possible that sometimes on the path of good some small or major problems creep up.
According to the Jain philosophy the whole world is governed by the law of cause and effect. They believe that if their is injustice, there are people who are bringing justice as well.
Karma and Dharma always go hand in hand, in the sense that there is a perception and then there is an action.Karma is beyond all logic and reasoning. it causes people to be together or separate, to be weak or strong, rich or poor that is all the bondage's in life is due to karma only. Even according to the Hinduism mythology, the epic MAHABHARATA focuses on the Karma and Dharma in the form of GEETA.
Karma, for these reasons, naturally implies reincarnation or rebirth (though the opposite is not true) since thoughts and deeds in past lives will affect one's current situation. Thus, every individual alike is responsible for the tragedies and good 'fortunes' which are experienced. The concept of an inscrutable "God" figure is not necessary with the idea of karma. It is vital to note that karma is not an instrument of a god, or a single God, but is rather the physical and spiritual 'physics' of being. As gravity governs the motions of heavenly bodies and objects on the surface of the earth, karma governs the motions and happenings of life, both inanimate and animate, unconscious and conscious, in the cosmic realm.

dharma is a way of living and not religion and with the prevailing vogue i would say that "karma is dharma."
